Bridges
A token can cross chains. The claim behind it may not come along.
A bridge moves a token from one blockchain to another. Many bridges lock the original token on the first chain and mint a representation of it on the second, so what arrives is a claim on the locked token, not the token itself. For RWAs this matters, because the issuer recognizes the holders of the tokens on its own register. Some issuers now issue their tokens natively on several chains from a single register, so holders are recognized on each chain. Where that is not the case, the bridge adds another party, and another risk, between you and the asset.
A bridged token is a claim on a claim. Check which version the issuer will redeem.
