Issuance vs Distribution
Creating tokens and getting them into many hands are different jobs
Issuance is the creation of tokens. Once the issuer mints them, the supply exists. Distribution is about who ends up holding that supply. A product can be fully issued on day one while most of the tokens sit with the issuer, a market maker or a few early investors. The tokens have been issued, but holdings are still concentrated. The size of an issuance on its own is not evidence of demand.
Issuance tells you how many tokens exist. Distribution tells you how many holders there are and how much each one holds.
